Chris Sands entered the financial services industry in 2008 when he joined Ashford Advisors with the desire to positively influence the lives of those he comes into contact with. He entered this career straight out of college knowing that he wanted to work with people and provide a service that helps people and has a positive impact on their lives.
Prior to joining Ashford Advisors in 2008, Chris spent his collegiate career at The University of Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in both Real Estate and Risk Management & Insurance, as well as a minor in Spanish. While in school, he was President of Sigma Pi Fraternity and a member of both the Real Estate Society and the Insurance Society. In addition, he coached girls’ club volleyball for the Georgia Juniors Volleyball Club in Athens, GA.
Chris was born and raised in Atlanta and has lived in Alpharetta, GA his entire life. He has travelled to over 20 countries on 3 different continents and has been to more than half of the states in the US. Chris continues to be very involved with his fraternity, serving as the treasurer for his chapter’s Housing Corporation. He is a passionate Georgia football fan, attending every home game, and is a member of the UGA Alumni Association.
In his hometown community, Chris is an active member of Kiwanis of Johns Creek, sits on several committees of the Dunwoody Chamber of Commerce, and is a volunteer with the Boys Scouts of America. He likes spending time with his family, playing golf, listening to live music, travelling, and learning about others from all walks of life.
