Elliott Hagan began his career in the financial services industry in 1974. In December 2005, he joined Ashford Advisors. Prior to joining Ashford Advisors, Elliott served 31 years in this industry in marketing and financial services. His father, also a successful life underwriter, instilled in him the idea of becoming an independent businessperson while serving others through financial services. Elliott derives satisfaction from his career in serving individuals, families and business owners in helping them to maximize and protect their assets.
Elliott is a 1970 graduate of the University of Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. He was a member of the Demosthenian Literary Society and the Sigma Chi social fraternity.
Elliott has qualified for the financial service industry’s prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 14 times. He has also qualified for Guardian’s Leaders Club for top producers and the Disability Income Inner Circle, a group recognized for their knowledge, production, and expertise of Disability Income protection.
Elliott and his wife, Pam, have been married since 1968. They have two grown children and four grandchildren. Since 2000, Elliott and Pam have resided in Beaufort, South Carolina. Elliott is an active member of his church, The Baptist Church of Beaufort, where he serves as a Deacon and also participates, with Pam, in Senior Ministry at Summit Place of Beaufort Assisted Living Home. Elliott is a leader in the Lowcountry Christian Golfers Association, a local golf outreach program. His community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he is also an Ambassador. He also chairs the Small Business Committee of the Chamber, serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of the Lowcountry, and chairs the Vocational Service Committee. Aside from his involvement in the community, Elliott has a keen interest in World War II history, in particular the stories through interviewing members of the “Greatest Generation.” In his spare time, he also enjoys aerobics and playing golf.
