Ashford Advisors Qualifies for IMA Diamond Award

Atlanta, GA - In 2010, Ashford Advisors received GAMA International’s International Management Award at the Diamond Level. The recipients of the year’s International Management Award were recognized at GAMA’s LAMP conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, last March and were also included in the July/August 2010 issue of the GAMA International Journal.

GAMA International’s Awards Program recognizes exceptional agency and firm leaders around the world. The award qualifiers are among the elite in the financial services industry. GAMA created the International Management Award to recognize first-line managers and frontline or second-/middle-line managers in the following distribution styles: multiline; ordinary/traditional; midmarket; financial planning; and home service. Ashford Advisors received the award in the Ordinary/Traditional category. The 2010 qualifying commission level was $2,500,000. The firm qualifier must also be members in good standing of GAMA International and have at least 10 full-time financial representatives as members of their local NAIFA Chapter - National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.

In addition to receiving the IMA Diamond award, Ashford Advisors was also recognized as a Platinum Plus contributor to the GAMA Foundation for Education and Research. GAMA Foundation is the only research organization in the world whose purpose is to sponsor research on topics that help financial services field leaders and managers run their firms successfully.

Aside from Ashford Advisors recognition, our General Agent, Tom Purcell, was also recognized as a member of the GAMA International Professional Development Faculty. He is a part of the Field Leadership Series faculty, a group that leads workshops around the country based on the GAMA Foundation’s research of best practices in the industry. Top-performing field leaders are asked to be a part of this group.
