Jason Huggins, Vice President*

Jason Huggins entered this career seeking to bring value to the lives of his clients by developing financial strategies that will meet their needs. As a client of the firm since 1996, Jason has experienced first-hand how valuable a comprehensive approach to planning can be. In addition to his role as a financial representative, he devotes significant time to the recruitment and development of other associates. He joined the Ashford Advisors team in 2006 with a passionate desire to help others, and now serves as a Vice President.

Upon completion of his first year in financial services, Jason earned the firm’s most prestigious award for our new associates, the Ed Mattingly New Associate of the Year award. This award is based on a multitude of criteria which recognizes an associate’s service to his clientele, professional development and growth, as well as his leadership. Jason has also qualified for Guardian’s Leaders Club, an exclusive group of financial professionals recognized for their commitment to excellence. In 2011, Jason was recognized by the Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as one of the “NAIFA-Atlanta’s Top Advisors Under 40”.

Prior to joining Ashford Advisors in 2006, Jason spent six years as a Regional Sales Manager and Director of Marketing at Volk Enterprises. He also spent two years with Chevron, where he was a Territory Manager with 11 stores and 95 employees working for him.

Jason received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Georgia in 1995. While in school, he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. In addition, he umpired little league baseball and served as a referee for numerous intramural sports.

Jason and his wife, Dana, are both natives of Georgia. They have been married since 1995 and have a daughter, Garrett, and a son, Hampton. Dana teaches 3rd grade at Wesleyan School in Norcross and both children attend Wesleyan. Jason and his family are very active in their church community, where Jason serves on multiple committees and volunteers his time. They are also members of the Atlanta Athletic Club, where his family enjoys playing golf, tennis, and other activities. Jason is a passionate University of Georgia fan, and relishes spending time with his family.
