Richard L. Noel, AWMA

Richard Noel joined the Ashford Advisors team in 2007 with a strong desire to help others make efficient financial decisions, a purpose he has carried throughout his career in financial services. Since 1997, Rich has sought to aid his clients by addressing financial disorganization and educating them in how to make healthy financial decisions. He enjoys working with clients and allowing them to self-discover what is important to them about money.

Active in the financial services industry, Rich is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He holds the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) and is licensed in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina.

From 1966 to 1995, Rich served in the United States Army, working his way up the ranks from Enlisted to Warrant Officer to Commissioned Officer. By the time he retired from the Army, Rich had attained the rank of Colonel. During his service, he logged over 3,300 hours of helicopter time with 1200 hours served in combat and was awarded 15 medals, including the Legion of Merit and Distinguished Flying Cross. He continues to be active in organizations such as the American Legion, Army Aviation Association of America, Association of the United States Army, First City Club, Military Officer’s Association of America, Military Order of World Wars, Savannah Chamber of Commerce, and the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot’s association. In addition, he serves as the Vice President for Corporate Membership in the Army Aviation Association of America. Rich has been appointed as an Ambassador for the First City Club, Hospice Savannah and the Savannah Chamber of Commerce.

Rich is a 1977 graduate of Troy State University in Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Resource Management. He also studied Public Administration at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.

Though born and raised in Moberly, Missouri, Rich has lived in Savannah since 1995 with his wife Stephanie, who is a Savannah native. The two have three grown children. They enjoy reading, boating, and traveling to visit their family. In addition, Rich is an avid fan of motor racing events including AMA, NASCAR, NHRA, and Formula 1.
