David S. Murdock**

David Murdock began his career in Financial Services when he joined Ashford Advisors in 2001. David is a 1980 graduate of Colgate University with a degree in English. He is a licensed Registered Representative with Park Avenue Securities, LLC (PAS), a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Prior to Financial Services, David left a successful career in Marketing and Advertising as Sales Director for an Atlanta weekly publication of arts, news and politics. As David worked with business owners in areas such as image creation, advertising design and event evaluation, he realized that his desire was to work with individuals and business owners in areas that would have a significant impact on their lives. He would take the skills and abilities developed over the years, train and learn financial concepts, join a firm that could provide the necessary resources, and begin his new career.

David advises individuals, families and business owners on common issues they face in areas such as retirement, income, investment and business planning along with risk management. David will help his clients make sound financial decisions through innovative strategies to reach financial security for life.

David is from originally from Atlanta, GA, and now resides in Birmingham, AL. David and his wife, Dana, have a son, Beau, and David has a daughter, Louise. He is active in his church and his community. David is the past President of The Colgate Club of Atlanta and is on the Marist School Alumni Executive Committee for fundraising. While David enjoys playing golf, his favorite pastime is spending time with his family.
