Howard C. Busbey, Jr., CLU®**

Having been around the financial services industry his entire life, Chip Busbey knew he wanted to impact the lives of people by providing comprehensive estate, retirement and investment planning for his clients. His father, Howard C. Busbey, Sr., CLU, spent over 40 years in the financial services industry and provided the ideal role model for him. Since joining Ashford Advisors in 1982, Chip has centered his planning on helping his clients from a macro economic perspective. Chip focuses on planning for professionals, business owners, and high net worth individuals. He derives tremendous satisfaction from helping individuals meet their dreams and goals through implementing prudent financial strategies.

In 1981, Chip graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, and went on to earn the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation from the American College. In 1998, he won the prestigious Holcomb T. Green Award from Ashford Advisors, an award recognizing the most outstanding advisor at Ashford Advisors each year. He has also qualified multiple times for Guardian’s Disability Income Inner Circle, a group recognized for their knowledge, production, and expertise of Disability Income protection. His other professional accomplishments include multiple Leaders Club qualifications for top producers and Centurion awards.

Chip and his wife, Bethany, are both Atlanta natives and have two sons, Clay and Wesley. They are active members of Cherokee Town & Country Club, where Chip has served on the Board of Directors for three years and on numerous committees. He and Bethany are both avid tennis players. Chip is a past club champion in the open singles and doubles at Cherokee and currently plays tennis at the AA2 in with ALTA. He is also very involved with his sons’ hockey, basketball, tennis, and boy scouts activities. Chip and his family are members of Northside United Methodist Church, where he is a past member on the Finance Committee.
