Cheryl Allen

Cheryl D. Allen serves as a Disability Income Specialist with Ashford Advisors, an Agency of the Guardian Life Insurance Company, based in Jackson, Mississippi. Dedicated to providing financial professionals with the highest level of service and comprehensive products, she is responsible for distribution of Guardian disability products in Mississippi, northern Louisiana, and west Tennessee. This veteran of the financial services industry specializes in case design, competitive analysis, and marketing ideas. As a passionate advocate for income protection, Cheryl helps financial professionals identify opportunities, package, and sell the case, and ensures the case is underwritten promptly. She also enjoys conducting joint calls with other financial professionals and their clients.

A graduate from Brenau University with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology, she also received a medical technology degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Cheryl and her husband, David married in 1981. Taking time to stay home and raise her children, Cheryl became very involved in numerous nonprofits. In 1990, Cheryl began her financial services career, recruited by David, to start her own practice. In 2017, Allen Financial Group partnered with Ashford Advisors, another firm of the Guardian, to grow business, open the door for new opportunity, and better serve clients and community.

Cheryl is a past board member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) of Jackson. She has served as a board member of numerous community organizations including the Jackson Cancer League and the Junior League of Jackson.

In her free time, Cheryl enjoys gardening, flower arranging and cooking, as well as spending time with her family. Cheryl and David are the proud parents of their two daughters, Courtney and Camille and their grandchildren Jeb and Kennedy. Cheryl and her family are active members of Northminster Baptist Church in Jackson, where she serves in various leadership roles
