Eric Reuschling is a native of Ashtabula, Ohio. Currently Eric and his wife, Heidi, live in Vidalia, GA. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining Ashford Advisors, he worked as a bridge engineer for 16 years, most of which was spent working in the railroad industry.
In 2016 he made the decision to leave engineering and opened a CrossFit gym with his wife. Eric is a Level 2 certified CrossFit Coach. That career change allowed him to retire from the engineering world freeing up time to follow his passions and pursue other opportunities. It was then that he made the decision to become a financial professional in 2020.
Eric’s inspiration comes from his wife, Heidi. Eric says, “My wife has definitely been the biggest influence and inspiration in my life. She is an amazing wife and a world class businesswoman. She is the one who introduced me to Ashford Advisors as a client back in 2014. Over the past 6 years, we've used the principles we learned from Mac Jordan at Ashford Advisors to build a strong real estate investment portfolio.”
In their spare time, Eric and Heidi enjoy working out at their CrossFit gym. They also enjoy spending time at their pool, tending to their backyard orchard and vacationing where there is great food and an ocean view.
One of Eric’s favorite quotes is by Steven Covey: “The main thing is to keep the Main Thing the Main Thing!”
