In May of 2022, Rita Resuggan joined the Ashford, Memphis Tennessee team as Office Manager. After retiring from a rewarding career in education, Rita desired to help others and to learn more about the financial service industry. As a lifelong learner and former music teacher, Rita views mastering the art of financial services much like mastering a musical instrument. Teaching students how to develop their skills and talents can easily parallel with helping clients gain financial independence.
As an educator, Rita enjoyed sharing her passion for music, language arts, speech, debate, and logic with students. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Memphis in 1995, a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from East Carolina University in 1999 and held a K-12 Tennessee Music Educator’s License from 2000 until 2015.
Rita was born and raised in Memphis Tennessee, where she and her family make their home. In her spare time, Rita enjoys playing the piano and is also currently learning to play the guitar.
She and her husband, Phillip, who is a licensed Music Therapist at the VA Hospital, and their three teenage sons enjoy taking their two dogs to the dog park at Shelby Farms. During the spring and fall, you can find them on the hiking trails at Shelby Forest. They also love spending time visiting family near Emerald Isle, North Carolina and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rita and her family are active members of New Hope Christian Church, where they serve in various ministries, including teaching adult bible study classes.
